Company Buyer — User Guide

Your portfolio acquisition dashboard for managing team-based property purchases.


Overview

The Company Buyer role is for corporate entities — property companies, investment funds, or REITs — that acquire multiple properties. You manage a team, coordinate acquisition targets, track deal progress, and control access to sensitive financial data through role-based permissions.

When you log in, you land on your Dashboard. Use the sidebar on the left to navigate between sections.


Your Dashboard — Home Screen

Your dashboard shows at a glance:

  • Active Pipeline — properties currently under consideration
  • Under Contract — properties with accepted offers
  • Closed Acquisitions — completed purchases
  • Total Investment — value of all closed deals
  • Team Size — number of active team members

Getting Started

  1. Sign up and select "Company Buyer" as your role
  2. Complete your firm profile (the platform guides you through this on first login)
  3. Set up your payment and billing preferences
  4. Invite your team members and assign their roles

Shared Shortlist — Team Property Collection

Go to: Shared shortlist in the sidebar (the heart icon)

This is where your team collaborates on properties of interest. All team members can save properties here for collective review.


Pipeline — Tracking Your Acquisitions

Go to: Pipeline in the sidebar (the activity icon — shows a badge when you have offers)

This shows all properties you are acquiring, organized by deal stage. Track where each deal is in the acquisition process from initial interest through to closing.


Quotes — Service Requests

Go to: Quotes in the sidebar (the document icon — shows a badge for pending quotes)

When service providers send you quotes for valuations, inspections, or other services, they appear here. Review, accept, or decline quotes as needed.


Calculator — Mortgage Estimation

Go to: Calculator in the sidebar (the calculator icon)

Estimate mortgage payments for properties you're considering. Enter property price, down payment, interest rate, and term to see monthly payment projections.


Progress — Deal Progress Tracker

Go to: Progress in the sidebar (the trending-up icon — shows a badge for offers)

Available to Analyst rank and above.

Track the progress of your active deals. See which stage each transaction is at and what actions are needed from your team.


Mortgage — Financing Management

Go to: Mortgage in the sidebar (the dollar-sign icon)

Available to Analyst rank and above.

Manage mortgage applications and financing for your acquisitions. Track application status and coordinate with lenders.


Valuations — Property Valuations

Go to: Valuations in the sidebar (the shield-check icon)

Available to Analyst rank and above.

Track property valuations you've ordered. See the status of each valuation request and access completed reports.


Banks — Interested Lenders

Go to: Banks in the sidebar (the building icon)

Available to Analyst rank and above.

See which banks have expressed interest in financing your acquisitions. Banks can express interest through two pathways: when you share finalized assessments directly with them, or when your mortgage consultant distributes verified packages to lending partners.


Team Registry — Managing Your Team

Go to: Team registry in the sidebar (the people icon)

Available to Manager rank and above.

To invite a team member:

  1. Click the "+ Invite Member" or "Invite" button
  2. Enter their email address
  3. Assign their role: Admin, Manager, Analyst, Staff, or Viewer
  4. Click Send Invite

Audit Center — Activity Log

Go to: Audit Center in the sidebar (the activity icon)

Available to Manager rank and above.

Review the audit log of team actions and deal changes. Track who did what and when for compliance and accountability.


Services — Professional Services

Go to: Services in the sidebar (the wrench icon)

Available to Manager rank and above.

Access construction services, refinance options, and other professional services available through the platform.


Invoices — Billing

Go to: Invoices in the sidebar (the receipt icon — shows a badge for outstanding invoices)

Available to Admin only.

View all platform invoices, subscription charges, and payment history.


Settings — Managing the Company Account

Go to: Settings in the sidebar (the gear icon)

Available to Admin only.

  • Profile — company details, logo, and contact information
  • Billing — subscription plan and billing management
  • Notifications — alert preferences for new messages, status changes, and deal updates

Messages — Communication Hub

Go to: Messages in the sidebar (the speech bubble icon — shows a red badge when you have unread messages)

  • Reach out to listing agents about properties you are interested in
  • Coordinate with sellers during negotiations
  • Communicate with valuators and mortgage consultants on your deals

Workflow: Acquiring a Property

  1. Browse and save — search listings and save properties to the shared shortlist
  2. Track in pipeline — saved properties appear in your Pipeline
  3. Assign a deal lead — assign a team member to manage the acquisition
  4. Order valuations — request formal valuations through the platform
  5. Secure financing — coordinate with mortgage consultants and bank officers
  6. Submit an offer — submit an offer through the Pipeline
  7. Work through due diligence — coordinate with valuators, notaries, and your team
  8. Close — track the deal through to finalization

Troubleshooting

Pipeline not updating after saving a property: Refresh the page — the platform updates in real time.

Cannot invite a team member: Only Admins can send invites. Verify your role rank in the team registry.

Cannot see Progress, Mortgage, or Valuations: These sections require Analyst rank or above. Contact your company admin to have your role upgraded.

Billing question: Only Admins can access billing. Contact your company admin or go to Settings → Billing.
