Service Provider — User Guide

Your home services marketplace dashboard for managing your profile, services, portfolio, and client inquiries.


Overview

The Service Provider role is for contractors, cleaners, handymen, and specialists who offer property-related services to landlords, property managers, and homeowners on estateTT. Your services appear in the public marketplace where property owners can discover and contact you directly.

When you log in, you land on your Dashboard. Use the sidebar on the left to navigate between sections.


Getting Started

Follow these steps to get your Service Provider account set up and ready to receive client inquiries.

Step 1: Sign Up

Navigate to the estateTT sign-up page and select "Service Provider" as your role. Enter your email address, create a password, and provide your basic information. You'll receive a confirmation email to verify your account.

Step 2: Build Your Profile

After logging in, navigate to Edit Profile to add your company name, category, location, and contact details. A complete profile with a logo, description, and photos significantly increases the number of inquiries you receive.

Step 3: Add Your Service Listings

Navigate to My Services to add the specific jobs you can do. Add new services with name, description, and price (if fixed pricing). Services you list here are shown on your public marketplace profile.

Step 4: Set Up Payment Preferences

Navigate to Settings > Payment Preferences to connect Stripe or Payoneer to receive payments directly. This ensures you can receive payments from clients without delays.

Step 5: Your Public Profile Is Created

Your public profile is automatically created and visible in the marketplace. Property owners can now discover your services and contact you directly.

Dashboard

Go to: Dashboard in the sidebar (the grid layout icon)

Dashboard is your home screen showing key metrics at a glance: Profile views (how many times your profile has been viewed), Total inquiries (messages from interested property owners), Reviews (ratings you have received from past clients), and Active services (services you currently have listed).

What You Can Do

  • View profile views — see how many times your profile has been viewed. This helps you understand your visibility.

  • Track inquiries — see messages from interested property owners. This helps you understand client interest.

  • View reviews — see ratings you have received from past clients. This helps you understand your reputation.

  • Monitor active services — see services you currently have listed. This helps you manage your offerings.

Using Dashboard Effectively

  • Check Dashboard regularly to stay informed about your marketplace performance
  • Use profile views to understand your visibility
  • Track inquiries to identify high-interest periods
  • Monitor reviews to maintain your reputation

Marketplace

Go to: Marketplace in the sidebar (the store icon — external route)

Marketplace is where you browse the public marketplace where property owners discover service providers: See how your profile appears to potential clients, Browse other providers for competitive reference, and Your profile is automatically listed based on your services and location.

What You Can Do

  • View your profile — see how your profile appears to potential clients. This helps you understand your public presence.

  • Browse competitors — browse other providers for competitive reference. This helps you understand the market landscape.

  • Discover opportunities — your profile is automatically listed based on your services and location. This helps you get discovered by clients.

Using Marketplace Effectively

  • Review your profile appearance to ensure it looks professional
  • Browse competitors to understand pricing and service offerings
  • Use marketplace insights to optimize your profile
  • Update your profile based on competitive analysis

My Services

Go to: My Services in the sidebar (the briefcase icon)

My Services is where you list the specific jobs you can do: Add new services with name, description, and price (if fixed pricing), Edit or remove existing services, and Services you list here are shown on your public marketplace profile.

To add a service:

  1. Click the Add Service button
  2. Enter the service name, description, and price
  3. Click Save

What You Can Do

  • Add services — add new services with name, description, and price. This helps you expand your service offerings.

  • Edit services — edit or remove existing services. This helps you keep your offerings up to date.

  • Manage listings — services you list here are shown on your public marketplace profile. This helps you control your public presence.

Using My Services Effectively

  • Add detailed descriptions to help clients understand your services
  • Use competitive pricing based on market rates
  • Keep service offerings up to date to reflect your capabilities
  • Remove outdated services to avoid confusion

Portfolio

Go to: Portfolio in the sidebar (the image icon)

Portfolio is where you showcase your completed work with photos: Upload photos of completed projects, Add captions for each photo, and Good portfolio photos significantly increase the number of inquiries you receive.

To add photos:

  1. Click Upload or Add Photos
  2. Select photos from your computer
  3. Add a caption for each photo (optional)
  4. Click Save

  • Showcase work — good portfolio photos significantly increase the number of inquiries you receive. This helps you attract more clients.

Using Portfolio Effectively

  • Upload high-quality photos to showcase your best work
  • Use descriptive captions to explain each project
  • Regularly update your portfolio with recent work
  • Include before and after photos when applicable

Messages

Go to: Messages in the sidebar (the message square icon — shows a badge when you have unread messages)

Messages is where you respond to inquiries from property owners: View conversations from interested clients, Type your reply and click Send, and Use Quick Reply for fast pre-written responses.

Responding promptly to inquiries builds trust and increases your chances of winning the job.

What You Can Do

  • Send replies — type your reply and click Send. This helps you communicate with clients.

  • Use quick replies — use Quick Reply for fast pre-written responses. This helps you respond efficiently.

Using Messages Effectively

  • Respond promptly to inquiries to build trust
  • Use clear and professional language in your replies
  • Ask clarifying questions to understand client needs
  • Follow up on inquiries that haven't been resolved

Edit Profile

Go to: Edit Profile in the sidebar (the user icon)

Edit Profile is where you build your public marketplace presence. A complete profile is shown as a checklist as you fill it in: Company name and contact details, Category (the type of service you offer, e.g., plumbing, electrical, cleaning, painting), Location and service areas (the areas where you operate), Phone, email, and website, Logo and cover image (upload photos to make your profile stand out), License number (if applicable), Years of experience, and Description (tell clients what you do and what makes you different).

Tip: Profiles with logos, photos, and complete descriptions get significantly more inquiries than those with minimal information.

What You Can Do

  • Add company details — add company name and contact details. This helps clients identify and contact you.

  • Set category — set the type of service you offer (e.g., plumbing, electrical, cleaning, painting). This helps clients find you in relevant searches.

  • Define service areas — set the areas where you operate. This helps clients know if you serve their location.

  • Upload visuals — upload logo and cover image to make your profile stand out. This helps your profile attract more attention.

  • Add credentials — add license number (if applicable) and years of experience. This builds trust with clients.

  • Write description — tell clients what you do and what makes you different. This helps you stand out from competitors.

Using Edit Profile Effectively

  • Complete all profile fields to maximize your visibility
  • Use high-quality logos and images to make your profile professional
  • Write a compelling description that highlights your unique value
  • Keep your profile information up to date
  • Use the checklist to ensure your profile is complete

Settings

Go to: Settings in the sidebar (the gear icon)

Settings is where you manage your account: Profile (edit your company details), Payment Preferences (connect Stripe or Payoneer to receive payments from clients directly), Security (change your password), and Notifications (configure alerts for new messages and inquiries).

What You Can Do

  • Profile — edit your company details. Keep your profile information up to date.

  • Payment Preferences — connect Stripe or Payoneer to receive payments from clients directly. This ensures you can receive payments without delays.

  • Security — change your password. Protect your account with a strong password to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Notifications — configure alerts for new messages and inquiries. Choose which events trigger notifications and how you receive them.

Using Settings Effectively

  • Keep your profile information up to date for accurate communication
  • Connect your payment provider to receive payments without delays
  • Use a strong password and change it regularly for security
  • Configure notification preferences to receive alerts without being overwhelmed
  • Update settings regularly to ensure they match your current needs

Workflow: Getting Your First Client

  1. Complete your profile — a full profile with a logo, description, and photos is more likely to convert views into inquiries
  2. Add your services — list the specific jobs you can do
  3. Upload a portfolio — show off your best completed work
  4. Wait for inquiries — property owners will message you through the platform when they need your services
  5. Respond promptly — reply to messages quickly to build trust and win the job
  6. Get paid — receive payment directly through your connected Stripe or Payoneer account

Troubleshooting

No profile views: Make sure your profile is complete and you have at least one service listed. Profiles with logos and photos get significantly more views than empty ones.

Not receiving messages: Check that your notification settings are turned on. Make sure your email address is confirmed in the system.

Payment not received: estateTT does not process payments between providers and clients. Make sure your Stripe or Payoneer account is correctly set up and that you have shared your payment details directly with the client.
